Mitchell, Patriots down Sundevils

Liberty's Jaylen Mitchell racked up 230 total yards and scored three touchdowns Friday to spark the No. 3 Patriots (6-1, 3-0 Southeast) to a 59-13 win over visiting Eldorado (1-6, 0-3).

Mitchell caught four passes for 116 yards and two TDs, rushed for one score and gained 98 return yards.

Kai Nacua completed all seven of his passes for 152 yards and three TDs, and backup Tyler Newman led five Patriots scoring drives, finishing 7 of 12 for 123 yards and two TDs.

Liberty’s Tyler Parvin rushed for 49 yards and two TDs in place of Niko Kapelli, who sat out with a foot injury.

The Patriots defense had seven sacks, three by Ka’imi Batoon.

Justin Brown led Eldorado with 99 yards rushing and a touchdown. Joshua Brown was 11 of 25 for 119 yards and a TD.
