ROUNDUP: Mountain View blitzes Lake Mead

Jacob Duldulao rushed for 74 yards and three touchdowns on four carries to lead Mountain View's football team to a 61-0 rout of visiting Lake Mead on Saturday.

Duldulao scored on runs of 21, 44 and 2 yards to help Mountain View (1-1, 1-0 Division III Southern League) build a 41-0 halftime lead.

Seven of Mountain View’s 31 offensive plays resulted in touchdowns. Only five of Lake Mead’s 34 offensive plays went for positive yardage.

Mountain View freshman Bernard Williams rushed for 54 yards and two TDs on six carries, and recovered a fumbled punt return in the end zone for another TD in the fourth quarter.

The Saints’ Matt Larson ran for a 20-yard TD, Travis Wallace added an 11-yard TD run, and Adonis Morris returned the free kick after a safety 65 yards for a score.

Lake Mead (0-1, 0-1), which revived its program after a long hiatus, began the game with 13 active players. The Eagles had minus-89 yards of offense.

Crespi (Calif.) 42, Liberty 28 — At Encino, Calif., Cody Cordell threw five touchdown passes in the first three quarters to lead the Celts (3-0) past the Patriots (0-1), spoiling a 254-yard, three-TD night by Liberty running back Niko Kapeli.

Cordell found J.B. Blackwell for TD passes of 50 and 34 yards to give Crespi a 15-0 lead early in the second quarter, and Liberty never fully recovered.

Kapeli (28 carries) ran for scores of 1, 65 and 4 yards, and a TD run by Kai Nacua closed the gap to 36-28 with 6:44 to play. Okalani Langi’s TD run for Crespi less than two minutes later ended the Patriots’ comeback hopes.
