Spartans ride Riley to first win

Running back Tyree Riley was a workhorse for Cimarron-Memorial on Friday, carrying the ball 35 times for 232 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Spartans to a 20-14 home victory over Durango.
the Trailblazers (0-5) opened the scoring when Troy Smidt found Jayson Johnson for a 9-yard TD early in the second quarter. Cimarron (1-4) tied the game on a 38-yard touchdown run by Antwaun Rainey with seven minutes remaining in the first half and took the lead on their following possession with the first of Riley's two touchdown runs.
Riley scored on a 28-yard run to extend the Spartan lead to 20-7 with 6:07 left in the third quarter. Durango's Leontre Austin busted loose for a 61-yard touchdown run to cut the lead 6, but the Trailblazers were unable to draw any closer, with a punt and an interception on their final two drives.
Austin rushed for 110 yards on 13 carries and added two sacks on defense. Isaiah Herron and Antwaun Rainey who had two interceptions to lead the Spartans defense, and teammate Bryan Wachowski-Cook had two sacks.
