Spring Mountain withstands late charge to deal Beatty first loss

Spring Mountain’s football team scored two first-half touchdowns and withstood a 19-point fourth quarter from visiting Beatty to hang on for a 30-25 win on Friday.
Kamari Collins rushed for 179 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries to lead Spring Mountain (5-2, 4-1 Class 1A Southern League). Leshewn Jones added 102 yards on 19 carries for the Golden Eagles.
Yadir Rodriguez scored three touchdowns for Beatty, whcih fell to 5-1, 4-1.
