Tanner Otteson leads Tonopah over Sierra Lutheran 52-13

Quarterback Tanner Otteson rushed for three touchdowns and threw for two more in Tonopah’s 52-13 victory over visiting Sierra Lutheran Saturday afternoon.

Tonopah scored early in the first and did not look back. The Muckers led 26-6 at the half and continued to pile on, outscoring Sierra Lutheran 20-0 in the third quarter.

Otteson was 9-for-15 passing for 138 yards, with both of his touchdowns going to Tyler Kirkland. Kirkland caught five passes for 66 yards.

Otteson led the Muckers in rushing with 11 attempts for 112 yards. Following him was Vinny Bagarose, who rushed for 104 yards. Bagarose also returned a 75-yard kickoff late in the fourth quarter.

On defense, Otteson and Brendan Eason each had nine tackles and two sacks.
