BASIC
Head coach: Jimmy Wilson, first season
Returning lettermen: Four
Top golfers: Dylan Hunt (Jr.), J.D. Ebert (Jr.), Cody Mastrodomenico (Sr.), Quinton Robbins (Jr.), Haydon Cook (Jr.)
Outlook: Hunt was a Sunrise Region qualifier last season.
“We have some good golfers and a good turnout of young kids who want to learn,” Wilson said. “I look forward to possibly making regionals as a team and three golfers who are good enough to qualify for state as individuals.”

BOULDER CITY
Head coach: Regina Quintero, fifth season
Returning lettermen: Five
Top golfers: Luke Logan (Jr.), Kyle Effertz (Sr.), Marcus Walker (Sr.), Christian Hudleson (Jr.)
Outlook: Logan won the Division I-A state individual title last season and leads a list of five returnees that includes Effertz, Walker and Hudleson, who all competed at last year’s state meet.
“It looks promising from the stats,” Quintero said. “We’re looking forward to Luke Logan competing again for the individual title. We would like to see the experience from past seasons pay off and all players play to their full potential.
“Even though the ninth graders are new, some of them have tournament experience, and we expect them to fill in the top 3-4 spots quickly.
“It might be too early to tell, but we’re hoping to compete for the Division I-A state title.”

CENTENNIAL
Head coach: Michael Stamcoff, fourth season
Returning lettermen: Four
Top golfers: Joshua James (So.), Matthew Palmer (Sr.), Allen Fleegle (Sr.), Alec Vega (Jr.)
Outlook: James, who averaged 81.6 strokes per 18 holes last year, leads a group of four who hope to make the Bulldogs one of the better teams in the Sunset Region.
“We hope to qualify for regionals as a team,” Stamcoff said.

DEL SOL
Head coach: Will Ray, fifth season
Returning lettermen: One
Top golfers: Jonathan Hart (Jr.), Jon Ross Juhas (Jr.), Ryen Hawkins (So.), Jordan Mulkey (So.), Andres Limon Padilla (So.)
Outlook: Hart is the lone returnee for the Dragons, who have four first-year varsity golfers.
“We have a full squad this year, however we are a new look program,” Ray said. “The new guys are excited to play and are learning the game very quickly. With a group of talented athletes from other Del Sol sports, we will compete and build a foundation for the future.”

FAITH LUTHERAN
Head coach: Mark Cheney, third season
Returning lettermen: Five
Top golfers: Dallas Haun (Jr.), J.R. Tuls (So.), Charlie Magruder (Fr.)
Outlook: The Crusaders welcome back nine players, including five who lettered, from a team that finished second in the DIvision I-A state meet.
Haun averaged 81.9 strokes per 18 holes last year, and Tuls finished tied for sixth in the state meet and had an 82.2 stroke average.
“With nine returning players, competition for the top six will be intense,” Cheney said. “We expect to be competitive and will focus on developing a champion’s mindset.”

GREEN VALLEY
Head coach: Greg Murphy, 10th season
Returning lettermen: Three
Top golfers: Grayson Savio (Sr.), Nick Riedy (Sr.), Mason Comastro (Jr.)
Outlook: Savio was a first-team All-Sunrise Region honoree, and Riedy and Comastro both earned second-team All-Northeast League honors last year.
The three returnees will look for some help from the Gators’ underclassmen to help the team to success.

THE MEADOWS
Head coach: Davis Brown, third season
Returning lettermen: Four
Top golfers: Thomas Isaacs (Sr.), Michael Zheng (Sr.), Peter Sklamberg (Jr.), Alan Humphreys (Fr.), Matthew Hodapp (Jr.), Damien Horton (Jr.)
Outlook: Isaccs was a first-team All-Southern League honoree, and Zheng and Sklamberg both earned second-team honors.
“We’re hoping to be in the mix to repeat as Division III Southern Region champions and hope that we can match or exceed last year’s finish of fourth place at state.”
