3A LEAGUE: Logan leads Eagles to title, state berth

Luke Logan carded a 5-under-par 66 at Falcon Ridge in Mesquite on Wednesday to lead Boulder City’s boys golf team to the Class 3A Southern League title.

The Eagles had a team score of 402, nosing out Virgin Valley by six strokes to earn the South’s lone team berth to next week’s state meet.

Christian Hudleston added an 80, and T.J. Hatfield and Marcus Walker each shot 83 for Boulder City.

Virgin Valley’s Kaden Atkin and Moapa Valley’s Marcus Delgadillo tied for second with 77s.

Atkin, Delgadillo and Virgin Valley’s Ryan Baeza (79), Addison Van Houton (80) and Tyler Hughes (80) all qualified for the state meet.
