Centennial boys win Pahrump Valley Invitational

Centennial’s boys golf team had five of the top 14 finishers to take the team championship in the gold flight of the Pahrump Valley Invitational at Mountain Falls Golf Club on Tuesday.

Centennial won with a 622, followed by Palo Verde (635), Bishop Gorman (644), Bonanza (667), Arbor View (673) and Pahrump Valley (674).

Individually, Desert Oasis’ Soungjae Beck carded a 1-under-par 71 in the second round to finish with a 145 total and take medalist honors.

Beck was followed by Arbor View’s Zane Thomas (147), Centennial’s Greg Kerber (150), Bonanza’s Yongsoo Shin (151) and Centennial’s Jake Barton (152).
