Co-medalist Sorenson lifts Lake Mead to invitational victory

Lander Sorenson shot 5-over-par 77 to tie for medalist honors Thursday and lead Lake Mead’s boys golf team to victory in the Round Mountain/Tonopah Invitational at Round Mountain Golf Course.

Sorenson shared the top spot on the leaderboard with Tonopah’s Ryan Roper.

Lake Mead posted a team score of 410, followed by White Pine (420) and Battle Mountain (463).

Round Mountain’s Clancy Carver and White Pine’s Ty Pickel tied for third at 78, and White Pine’s Nick Marich and Wells’ Careron Huff tied for fifth at 79.
