Coronado’s McInerney one shot back at Las Vegas Junior Open

Coronado High's A.J. McInerney was tied for fourth at 2-over-par 74 after the first round of the Las Vegas Junior Open at Anthem Country Club on Tuesday.

Daniel Chian of Covina, Calif., Payne Denman of Riverwatch, Tenn., and Joseph Stewart of Palm Desert, Calif., were tied for the lead.
All three shot 73 in the American Junior Golf Association event.

In the girls field, defending champion Lindsey Weaver of Scottsdale, Ariz., led with a 3-over 75.
