GOLF: Aggies lead Pahrump Valley Invitational after day one

Sam Dickey shot a 4-under-par 68 at Mountain Falls on Thursday to help Arbor View’s boys golf team grab the first-round lead in the Pahrump Valley Invitational.

Arbor View has 293 strokes, one better than Palo Verde. Shadow Ridge is third with 296, followed by Bishop Gorman at 301.

The 20-team tournament concludes Friday.

The Aggies’ Van Thomas and Palo Verde’s Bradley Collet each shot 71.

Shadow Ridge’s Ben Davis and Tanner Johnson, Palo Verde’s Brandon Bauman, and Bishop Gorman’s Frank Frisbee all shot 72.
