GOLF: Bauman leads Panthers to Northwest win

Brandon Bauman shot 1-over-par 73 Wednesday to help the Panthers win a Northwest League Meet at Silverstone.

David Tottori recorded a 75 for the Panthers, who finished with a 389 team score.

Shadow Ridge came in second with a 408, followed by Arbor View (409), Spring Valley (451) and Durango (484).

Shadow Ridge’s Ben Davis and Arbor View’s Sam Dickey both shot 72 to share medalist honors.

Shadow Ridge’s Tanner Johnson (74) and Sierra Vista’s George Kim (75) rounded out the top five.

Falcons top Gaels

At Tuscany, Andrew Chu fired a 1-under 35 to earn medalist honors and carry Foothill to a 192-201 win over Bishop Gorman.

Foothill’s Hayden Munns took second at 36.

Gorman’s Anthony Lalli and Blake Taylor tied for third with a 37, and teammate Frank Frisbee was fifth at 38.
