GOLF: Bauman propels Palo Verde boys to win in Northwest League match

Brandon Bauman shot a 2-under-par 70 at Siena on Tuesday to lead Palo Verde’s boys golf team to a Northwest League match victory.

The Panthers had a team total of 400. Arbor View, which got 75s from Van Thomas and Sam Dickey, was second at 406. Shadow Ridge was third with 441, followed by Sierra Vista at 479.

Shadow Ridge’s Ben Davis shot 73.

Gorman downs Pahrump Valley
At Mountain Falls, Tyler Martinez shot 1-over 73 to lead Bishop Gorman to a 392-453 victory over Pahrump Valley.

The Gaels’ Ben Schlichting carded a 75 to take second, followed by teammates Vince Gargano (76) and Bryce McEachern (80).

Coronado tops Faith Lutheran
At Anthem, Grant McKay earned medalist honors with a 3-over 39 to guide Coronado to a 209-220 win over Faith Lutheran.

The Cougars’ Michael Alvarez carded a 40, and teammate Matt Welch shot 41.
