GOLF: Boulder City places five in top six to win Sunrise match
Boulder City’s Kyler Atkinson shot 4-over-par 76 at Wildhorse on Wednesday to lead the Eagles to victory in a Sunrise League match.
Boulder City had five of the top six individuals to finish at 428. Virgin Valley was second at 526, followed by Tech (607) and Del Sol (622).
Virgin Valley’s Hogan Fowles was second at 77. Boulder City’s Samu Jancuk shot 86, followed by teammates Jackson Wright (87), Cade Neilson (88) and Kevin Phelps (91).
Virgin Valley’s Nathan Hulet tied Phelps for sixth at 91.
Pahrump takes Sunset League match
At Aliante, Austin Ancell shot 5-over 77 to power Pahrump Valley to the team title in a Sunset League match.
The Trojans finished with 490 points. Western was the only other complete team, and finished second at 605.
Western’s Jared Smith shot 95 to finish second individually, and Mojave’s Marcus Mullins shot 87 to place third.
