GOLF: Cougars edge Gators at Revere on sixth golfer

Jalen Hodges earned medalist honors with a 4-over-par 76, and Coronado’s boys golf team nipped Green Valley on a sixth golfer score to win a Southeast League match at Revere on Tuesday.
The Cougars and Gators both shot 419, but Coronado’s No. 6 golfer’s score was three strokes better than Green Valley’s. Foothill shot 425, and Basic was fourth at 449.
Mason Comastro had a 77, and Jeffrey Mullins shot 78 for Green Valley.
Foothill’s Andrew Chu carded a 78.
Panthers win Southwest match
At Spanish Trail, Jack Trent took medalist honors with a 1-over 73 and helped Palo Verde to victory in a Southwest League match.
The Panthers, who also got a 78 from Joseph Ender, had a team score of 391. Bishop Gorman was second at 401, followed by Shadow Ridge at 433.
Bishop Gorman’s Owen Rosebeck shot 75.
Shadow Ridge’s Tanner Johnson carded a 75, and teammate Mitchell Stark shot 77.
Eagles win Sunrise match
At Falcon Ridge, Hunter Ulibarri carded a 4-over 76 to take medalist honors and help Boulder City win a Sunrise League match.
The Eagles, who also got an 82 from Kyler Atkinson and an 83 from Luke Logan, had a team score of 426. Moapa Valley shot 471 and was the only other school to post a team score.
Jacob Causey shot 82 for the Pirates.
