GOLF: Kirchner helps Skyhawks win Northeast League match

Thomas Kirchner shot 3-over-par 63 at Desert Willow on Thursday to earn medalist honors and help Silverado’s boys golf team win a Northeast League match.

The Skyhawks, who also got a 70 from Matthew McClure, had a team score of 375. Liberty took second with 380. Las Vegas was third at 501, followed by Valley at 507 and Canyon Springs at 537.

Liberty’s Jayrick Cadelina shot 67, and teammate Patrick Dao had a 70.

Crusaders down Gorman

At Bear’s Best, Charlie Magruder shot 2-over 38 to help Faith Lutheran to a 199-215 win over Bishop Gorman.

J.R. Tuls and Greg Price each added a 39 for the Crusaders.

Gorman’s Owen Rosebeck, a non-team scoring golfer, was the medalist with a 35.
