GOLF: Patriots claim Northeast match

Liberty placed four golfers in the top 10 on Monday to win a Northeast League match at Stallion Mountain.

Jayrick Cadelina-Canyete was third individually with an 8-over-par 81 to lead the Patriots, who had a team score of 482. Silverado was second at 493, followed by Las Vegas (502) and Canyon Springs (562).

Silverado’s Thomas Kirchner was the medalist with a 73. Las Vegas’ Trey Jensen was second at 78.

Panthers take Southwest match

At TPC Las Vegas, Jack Trent shot a 3-under 68 to lead Palo Verde to victory in a Southwest League match.

The Panthers, who also got a 73 from Joseph Ender, had a team score of 376, seven strokes better than Bishop Gorman. Shadow Ridge was third at 453.

Gorman’s Christian James and Tyler Martinez each shot 73.

Gators nip Boulder City

At Boulder Creek, Ty Klabacka shot par 36 to help Green Valley to a 197-200 win over Boulder City.

Mason Comastro added a 39 for the Gators.

Boulder City’s Luke Logan was the medalist with a 35, and teammate Kyler Atkinson shot 38.
