Munns, Diamondbacks sprint to first-round lead at Pahrump Valley Invite

Hayden Munns carded a 7-over-par 79, only one stroke behind the leader, to lead Desert Oasis’ boys golf team to the top of the team leaderboard at the Pahrump Valley Invitational after Monday’s first round at Mountain Falls.

Soungjae Baek and Jay Singharath each added an 80 for the Diamondbacks, which posted a team score of 322 with three of the top five individuals.

Palo Verde’s Dillon Dudley also shot 79.

Hayes Dupree of River Valley (Ariz.) is the leader at 78.

Foothill is second at 336, followed by Green Valley (349), River Valley (358) and Virgin Valley (362).
