PAHRUMP INVITE: Montgomery helps Foothill to team title

Taylor Montgomery carded an even-par 72 on Tuesday at Mountain Falls to help Foothill’s boys golf team capture the Gold Flight of the Pahrump Valley Invitational.
The Falcons had a 36-hole team score of 604, six strokes better than Palo Verde. Pahrump Valley was third at 635.
Desert Oasis’ Soungjae Beck was the tournament medalist, winning a one-hole playoff against Montgomery and Palo Verde’s Dillon Dudley after all three finished at 143.
Pahrump’s Dorian Patel was fourth with a 145.
Ryan Baeza shot 71 on Tuesday to capture medalist honors and help Virgin Valley’s boys take the Silver Flight.
The Bulldogs posted a team score of 652, easily clearing Green Valley Blue (674). Foothill’s junior varsity was third at 681, followed by Faith Lutheran at 682.
Baeza had a 36-hole total of 153. Virgin Valley’s Kadan Atkin and Foothill’s Connor Bodin tied for second in the flight at 160.
Boulder City won the Maroon Flight with a team score of 731. Las Vegas was second at 750, followed by Arbor View at 754.
Arbor View’s Nick Bible was the flight medalist with a 173.
