Patriots’ Jackson Parrish leads Southern Nevada Invitational

Liberty sophomore Jackson Parrish shot a 3-under-par 68 at SouthShore Country Club on Monday to grab the lead at the midway point of the Southern Nevada Invitational.
Parrish battled back a double-bogey on the par-3 10th hole with three consecutive birdies and had seven birdies on the day.
He leads by one stroke over Ben Hong of Servite (Calif.). Eight players — including Arbor View’s Kameron Kelsey and Hazen Neman, Coronado’s Benjamin Sawaia, Dylan Fritz and Brett Sodetz, and Foothill’s Noah MacFawn — are tied for third at 71.
Servite leads the team competition after shooting 289.
Coronado is second at 290, with Bishop Gorman (293) third and Foothill (299) fourth. Bellarmine (Calif.) is fifth at 301.
The tournament concludes Tuesday at Reflection Bay.
