ROUNDUP: Baek, Munns help Diamondbacks take Southwest match

Soungjae Baek and Hayden Munns shared medalist honors Monday and helped Desert Oasis’ boys golf team to a win in a Southwest League match at Canyon Gate.

Desert Oasis had a team score of 416. Bishop Gorman was second at 433, followed by Pahrump Valley at 469 and Spring Valley at 488.

Baek, Munns and Pahrump’s Dorian Patel each shot 5-over-par 77. The Diamondbacks’ Niko Gonnella added a 79.

Falcons nip Aggies
At Silverstone, Foothill and Arbor View tied at 201, with the Falcons winning by virtue of the sixth-man tiebreaker rule.

The Aggies’ Zane Thomas shot 2-under 34 to earn the medal, and Foothill’s Taylor Montgomery was two-strokes back to finish second.

Connor Bodine broke the tie by shooting 47 for the Falcons.
