Roundup: Blake Schaper helps Boulder City boys win Sunrise League match

Blake Schaper carded a 5-over-par 75 at Wildhorse on Tuesday to earn medalist honors and lead Boulder City’s boys golf team to victory in a Sunrise League match.

Jackson Wright added an 80, and Kevin Phelps shot 83 for the Eagles, who took four of the top five spots and finished with a team score of 329. Kyle Carducci shot 91 for Boulder City.

Virgin Valley was second with a score of 401. Sky Pointe took third at 431.

Virgin Valley’s Jeron Dalton shot 91 to tie Carducci for fourth place.

Matt Manganello earns medalist honors in Northeast

At Stallion Mountain, Eldorado’s Matt Manganello shot a 1-over 73 to earn medalist honors in a Northeast League match.

Rancho won the team competition with a score of 401, one stroke better than Las Vegas. Canyon Springs (504) was the only other school to field a scoring team.

Las Vegas’ Nic Jensen shot 76 to finish second. Canyon Springs’ Dominic David was third with a 90.

Coronado tops Faith Lutheran

At Anthem, Dylan Fritz carded a 2-under 34 to earn medalist honors and lead Coronado to a 145-158 win over Faith Lutheran.

J.J. Kulesza added a 36 for the Cougars, who were 1-over as a team. Joey Dotta shot 37, and Brett Sodetz had a 38 for Coronado.

Aidan Goldstein led Faith Lutheran with a 36, and teammates Greg Price and Tyler Smerz each shot 39.

Foothill defeats Pahrump Valley

At Mountain Falls, Hunter Esparza shot 2-over 74 to earn medalist honors and help the Foothill defeat Pahrump Valley, 313-361

Foothill’s Noah MacFawn shot 75, including a hole-in-one on the par-3, 165-yard fourth hole. Teammate Sean Zakin added a 79.

Koby Lindberg led the Trojans with an 86.
