Roundup: Brett Sawaia leads Coronado to Southeast win

Brett Sawaia shot 3-over-par 75 at Legacy Golf Club on Wednesday to lead Coronado’s boys golf team to a win in a Southeast League match.

Michael Sarro shot 79, and Ian Fritz and Benjamin Sawaia each shot 80 for the Cougars, who posted a 314 as a team.

Foothill was second at 336, followed by Liberty (359), Green Valley (404) and Tech (471).

Liberty’s Jackson Parrish shot 78 to finish second individually.

Boulder City wins Sunrise meet

At Paiute, Blake Schaper earned medalist honors with a 16-over 88 and helped Boulder City win a Sunrise League match.

The Eagles, who also got a 95 from Jason Krumm and a 97 from Kevin Phelps, finished with a team score of 381. Sky Pointe was second at 453, followed by Virgin Valley at 455 and Moapa Valley at 477.

Virgin Valley’s Jeron Dalton shot 97.
