ROUNDUP: Frisbee lifts Gaels into first-place tie with Bengals at Southwest match

Bishop Gorman’s Frank Frisbee shot even-par 72 on Monday to help the Gaels’ boys golf team tie Bonanza for the top spot in a Southwest League match at Bear’s Best.
Gorman and Bonanza both shot 415, and each team’s No. 6 golfer shot 94. Desert Oasis finished third at 420.
Desert Oasis’ Soungjae Baek also carded a 72 to share medalist honors with Frisbee.
Bonanza’s Alex Jordan and Pahrump Valley’s Dorian Patel each shot 3-over 75 to tie for third.
McClellan, Panthers take Northwest match
At Silverstone, Errek McClellan carded a 1-over 73 to lead Palo Verde to a Northwest League match win.
The Panthers had a team score of 395. Centennial was second at 403, followed by Faith Lutheran at 418 and Arbor View at 420.
Centennial’s Alec Sailer was the medalist with a 72.
Faith Lutheran’s Braden Bennett shot 73, and Arbor View’s Zane Thomas carded a 74.
Las Vegas captures Northeast match
At Wildhorse, Kayden Magdaluyo shot 84, and Las Vegas had two of the top six individuals to win a Northeast League match.
The Wildcats posted a team score of 456, followed by Rancho at 471 and Valley at 486.
Eldorado’s Giovanni Latty took medalist honors with a 10-over 80. Canyon Springs’ John Wilborn carded an 81.
Green Valley downs Boulder City
At Boulder Creek, Cody Smith took medalist honors with a 1-over 37 to help Green Valley earn a 206-238 win over Boulder City.
Hayden Cottel added a 39 and Brent Taylor carded a 40 for the Gators.
