ROUNDUP: Gillip, Las Vegas win Northeast League match

Ray Gillip shot 2-under-par 69 to lead Las Vegas to a win in a Northeast League match at Desert Rose on Wednesday.

Adam Perea added a 71, and D.J. Padron shot 73 for the Wildcats, who finished with a team score of 414. Rancho was second at 532.

Desert Pines’ Jonathan Carmona finished with a 78 and Eldorado’s Josh Sly and Chaparral’s Rick Carillo each shot 83.

Melchiorre leads Palo Verde to Northwest win
At Palm Valley, Palo Verde’s Kyle Melchiorre shot 3-under 69 as the Panthers won a Northwest League Match with a score of 384.

Centennial (405) was second and Arbor View (409) third.

Palo Verde’s Nick Roman added a 71. Arbor View’s Zane Thomas shot 76, and Centennial’s Brad Rowland and Legacy’s Ryan Stimson each shot 79.
