ROUNDUP: Gonnella helps Diamondbacks to Southwest win

Niko Gonnella shot 2-over-par 74 on Wednesday to lead Desert Oasis’ boys golf team to victory in a Southwest League match at Siena.

The Diamondbacks posted a team score of 422. Pahrump Valley was second at 429, and Bishop Gorman finished at 432.

Bonanza’s Alex Jordan was the medalist with even-par 72. Desert Oasis’ Soungjae Baek added a 75, and Pahrump’s Elliott Owens carded a 78.

Baeza, Virgin Valley take 3A Southern League match
At Boulder Creek, Ryan Baeza carded an even-par 72 to earn medalist honors and lead Virgin Valley to victory in a Class 3A Southern League match.

The Bulldogs added a 74 from Brandon Cohen and a 76 from Kaden Atkin en route to a team score of 394.

Boulder City was second with 446, followed by Moapa Valley at 453, and Needles at 477.
