ROUNDUP: Jensen, Thomas lead Wildcats to Northeast match victory

Trey Jensen and Zach Thomas each shot 5-over-par 77 on Tuesday to lead Las Vegas High to victory in a Northeast League match at Las Vegas Golf Club.

The Wildcats shot 490 as a team to edge Chaparral, which finished at 496.

Canyon Springs’ Malik Wilborn was the medalist with a 72. Eldorado’s Ryan Manganello finished second at 74.

Kelly, Panthers claim Northwest victory
At Painted Desert, Palo Verde’s Cody Kelly shot even-par 72 to lead the Panthers to victory in a Northwest League match.

Dillon Dudley added a 75, and Brandon Bauman had a 76 for the Panthers, who finished at 392. Arbor View was second at 403, followed by Centennial (413), Faith Lutheran (415), Cimarron-Memorial (423), and Shadow Ridge (452).

Shadow Ridge’s Ben Davis won medalist honors with a 68. Arbor View’s Zane Thomas shot 69.

Boulder City tops Eagles
At Tuscany, Luke Logan and Kyle Effertz each shot 2-over 38 to tie for medalist honors and help Boulder City beat Foothill, 205-212.

Nick Rae shot 39 for Foothill.
