ROUNDUP: Kato leads Faith Lutheran boys to golf victory

Yuki Kato shot par 72 on Thursday to lead Faith Lutheran’s boys golf team to victory in a Class 3A Southern League match at Mountain Falls in Pahrump.

Blake Hampton added a 76 for the Crusaders, who posted a 400 as a team.

Pahrump Valley (424) was second and Virgin Valley (434) third.

Virgin Valley’s Arden Sullivan carded a 72 to share medalist honors.

Coronado 193, Bishop Gorman 225 — At Anthem, Coronado’s A.J. McInerny, Tad Darland and Kevin Stratton each shot 1-over 37 as the Cougars downed the Gaels.

Cimarron-Memorial 245, Del Sol 279 — At Painted Desert, Jordan Spitler shot 5-over 41 to lead the Spartans over the Dragons.

Green Valley 200, Centennial 202 — At Legacy, Ryan Green and Michael Sadler each shot a 1-over 37 to lead the Gators over the Bulldogs.

Greg Kerber, Jake Barton and Mark Bachmeier each carded shot 39 for Centennial.

Arbor View 228, Sierra Vista 232 — At Siena, Zane Thomas shot 33 to lead the Aggies past the Mountain Lions.

Jacob Pinney led Sierra Vista with a 40.
