ROUNDUP: Las Vegas boys win Northeast golf meet

Ray Gillip carded a 4-under-par 67 at Desert Rose on Wednesday to lead Las Vegas’ boys golf team to a first-place finish in a Northeast League meet.

The Wildcats had a team score of 434. Desert Pines was second at 513, followed by Valley (577) and Rancho (615).
D.J. Padron added a 78 for the Wildcats.

Josh Nichols shot a 76 for Desert Pines.

Kato, Faith Lutheran win Southern League Meet
At River’s Edge, Yuki Kato shot 3-under 68 to lead Faith Lutheran to victory in a 3A Southern League Meet.

Alex Vance shot 77 and Chad Kaercher 78 for the Crusaders, who finished at 385.

Virgin Valley was second at 406, followed by Moapa Valley (420), Boulder City (436) and Needles (471).

Virgin Valley’s Aiden Sullivan and Ryan Baeza tied for second at 75.

Arbor View tops Legacy
At Durango Hills, Arbor View freshman Zane Thomas shot 2-under-par 56 to lead the Aggies to a 325-367 win over Legacy.

Mark Agustin added a 60 and Zack Kitchen a 65 for Arbor View.

Cimarron tops Del Sol
At Wildhorse, Tyler Spitler shot 6-over 40 to lead Cimarron-Memorial to a 231-254 win over Del Sol.
Doran Walker added a 43 and Avery Campbell a 44 for Cimarron.

Gators edge Bonanza
At Canyon Gate, Green Valley edged Bonanza, 212-213.

Bonanza’s Yongsoo Shin shot par 36 to earn medalist honors.
