ROUNDUP: McInerney, Chu power Cougars to Southeast win

A.J. McInerney and Andrew Chu each carded a 1-over-par 73 at Black Mountain on Thursday to lead Coronado’s boys golf team to a win in a Southeast League match.
The Cougars, who also got a 76 from Kabir Nanar, posted a team score of 378. Foothill was second at 391, followed by Green Valley at 425.
Foothill’s Taylor Montgomery was the medalist with a 70, and teammate Robert Zoucha shot 75.
Eagles claim Southern League match
At Boulder City Municipal, Luke Logan carded a 6-over 78, and Tyler Hughes added a 79 to help Boulder City to a win in a Class 3A Southern League match.
Boulder City had a team score of 437. Needles was second at 445, followed by Virgin Valley at 457 and Pahrump Valley at 460.
Virgin Valley’s Ryan Baeza was the medalist with a 77.
Aggies top Mustangs
At Silverstone, Van Thomas shot 1-over 37 to lead Arbor View to a 210-235 win over Shadow Ridge.
Shadow Ridge’s Ben Davis took medalist honors with a 35.
Roper helps Muckers to sixth-place finish
At West Wendover, Ryan Roper carded a 13-over 85 to help Tonopah finish sixth in the West Wendover Invitational.
Spring Creek won the event with a score of 439, 11 strokes better than White Pine. Battle Mountain was third at 522. Tonopah's total of 570 was two strokes behind fifth-place Wells.
White Pine's Ty Pickel was the medalist with a 77.
