ROUNDUP: McInerney’s 66 helps Cougars take Southeast match

A.J. McInerney carded a 6-under-par 66 on Thursday to help Coronado’s boys golf team win a Southeast League match at Tuscany.

The Cougars, who also got a 71 from Matt Welch and a 75 from Kenden Slattery, posted a team score of 371. Green Valley was second at 391, edging Foothill’s 393.

Green Valley’s Cody Smith shot 73, and Foothill’s Nick Pergola carded a 74.

Bulldogs claim 3A Southern League match
At Boulder Creek, Ryan Baeza took medalist honors with an even-par 72 to lead Virgin Valley to a win in a Class 3A Southern League match.

The Bulldogs, who also got a 79 from Tyler Hughes, had a team score of 417. Boulder City was second with 444, followed by Moapa Valley at 554.

Boulder City’s Luke Logan shot 80.

Moapa Valley’s Marcus Delgadillo carded an 82.
