ROUNDUP: McInerney’s 69 paces Cougars in Southeast win

A.J. McInerney shared medalist honors with a 3-under-par 69 on Monday to lead Coronado’s boys golf team to victory in a Southeast League match at Anthem.

The Cougars, who also got a 76 each from Kenden Slattery, Matt Welch and Kabir Nanar, posted a team score of 375. Green Valley was second with 409, followed by Foothill at 411.

Foothill’s Taylor Montgomery also carded a 69.

Panthers top Diamondbacks
At Badlands, Brandon Bauman and Cody Kelly each carded a 1-over 37 to lead Palo Verde to a 204-212 win over Desert Oasis.

The Diamondbacks’ Soungjae Baek fired a 35 to earn medalist honors, and teammate Niko Gonella shot 39.
