ROUNDUP: Pate’s par puts Coronado on top of Southeast match

Christian Pate shot par 72 on Tuesday to lead Coronado to the victory in a Southeast League match at Legacy.

Coronado shot 379 as a team to edge Green Valley (390). Third-place Foothill combined for 446, followed by Silverado (482) and Basic (538).

A.J. McInerney shot 75, and Tad Darland and Jimmy Burris each carded a 77 for the Cougars.

Green Valley’s Ryan Green also shot 72 to tie Pate for medalist honors.

Rancho takes Northeast match
At Wildhorse, Rancho shot 538 as a team without a top-five golfer to win Tuesday’s Northeast League match.

Canyon Springs was the only other school to field a complete team. The Pioneers shot 594.

Eldorado’s Giovanni Latty earned medalist honors with a 10-over 80, and teammate Kaden Magdluyo took second with an 83.

Pahrump beats Gorman
At Mountain Falls, Pahrump Valley’s Daniel Shimakawa and Dorian Patel shared medalist honors as each carded a 6-over-par 42, and the Trojans defeated Bishop Gorman, 218-241.
