ROUNDUP: Piper propels Arbor View boys past Gaels

Cody Piper shot a 3-under-par 33 at Silverstone on Thursday to lead Arbor View’s boys golf team to a 185-196 win over Bishop Gorman.

Van Thomas added a 37, and Sam Dickey and Nick Bible each carded a 38 for the Aggies.

Christian James paced the Gaels with a 38.

Foothill nips Palo Verde
At Badlands, Andrew Chu shot an even-par 36 to lead Foothill to a 203-205 win over Palo Verde.

Joe Ender shot 37, and Andrew Garcia carded a 39 for the Panthers.

Coronado defeats Green Valley
At Anthem, Michael Alvarez carded a 1-over 37 to lead Coronado to a 192-202 win over Green Valley.

Matt Welch and Grant McKay each added a 38, and Bradley Keyer shot 39 for Coronado.

Blaise McComb led Green Valley with a 39.

Centennial downs Shadow Ridge
At Painted Desert, Centennial placed four out of the top five finishers to earn a 221-247 win over Shadow Ridge.

Matthew Palmer carded a 2-over 38 to lead the Bulldogs, who got a 39 from Allen Fleegle.

Ben Davis posted a 36 to earn medalist honors for the Mustangs.

Bowers, Crusaders roll to win
At Mountain Falls, John Bowers carded a 6-over 78 to help Faith Lutheran win a seven-team match.

The Crusaders had a team score of 403, easily outdistancing second-place Boulder City (454). Needles was third at 463, one stroke ahead of Pahrump Valley.

Desert Oasis’ Niko Gonnella was the medalist with a 73.
