DIVISION III GOLF: Mountain View’s Rachel Horita wins state title

Mountain View senior Rachel Horita carded a 24-over-par 96 at Toana Vista Golf Course in West Wendover on Friday to win the Division III state girls golf title.

Horita, who shot a 94 on Thursday, had a two-round total of 190 to edge Incline's Devi Meyers by one stroke. Meyers trailed by two strokes entering the final round and shot 95 on Friday.

Battle Mountain's Jessica Jones (104-105–209) was third, and Mountain View's Kristine Horita (130-122–252) took 11th.

Incline easily won the team title with a two-round total of 860. Wells was second at 981.
