DIVISION III GOLF: Saints’ Rachel Horita leads at midway point

Mountain View’s Rachel Horita has the lead at the midway point of the Division III state golf tournament at Toana Vista Golf Course in West Wendover.

Horita carded a 22-over-par 94 on Thursday to take the lead entering Friday’s final round. Incline’s Devi Meyers shot 96 and is in second place. Wells’ Kelsey Franco and Battle Mountain’s Jessica Jones are third at 104.

Incline leads the team competition after shooting 431 in the opening round. Wells is second at 495, followed by Battle Mountain (534), White Pine (575) and Round Mountain (599).

Round Mountain’s Raquel Damian is 11th after shooting 123. Mountain View’s Kristine Horita is tied for 13th after carding a 130.
