GIRLS GOLF: Gators take four of top five spots in win over Boulder City

Green Valley’s girls golf team had four of the top five finishers on Tuesday at Boulder Creek to earn a 187-208 victory over Boulder City.

Boulder City’s Lani Potter carded a 1-over-par 37 to earn medalist honors.

Katherine Kares finished second at 42 for Green Valley, followed by teammates Caroline Thomas (46), Emily McElhoes (49) and Kelsey Kares (50).

Palo Verde tops Shadow Ridge

At Painted Desert, Rebecca Ortel took medalist honors with a 6-over 42 to help the Panthers (182) earn the win over the Mustangs (227).

Palo Verde’s Jasmine Jung took second with a 44, followed by Shadow Ridge’s Kelsey Barnson at 47.

Madison Hendricks and Taylor Fryar each carded a 48 for the Panthers to tie with Shadow Ridge’s Bianca Rodriguez-Willrich.
