GOLF: Arizmendi helps Centennial to victory

Kianna Arizmendi carded a 7-over-par 43 at Paiute on Monday to lead Centennial's girls golf team to victory in a three-team match.

The Bulldogs, who also got a 44 from Nicole August, had a team score of 177. Desert Oasis shot 244, and Bishop Gorman did not have a team score.

Gorman's Sabrina Schnur took medalist honors with a 40.

Palo Verde tops Shadow Ridge

At Painted Desert, Annick Haczkiewicz shot par 36 to take medalist honors and lead Palo Verde to a 172-201 win over Shadow Ridge.

Mikenna Klinger added a 43, and Jasmine Jung shot 44 for the Panthers.

Katie Thomas led the Mustangs with a 39.

Mendez-Rodriguez earns medalist honors

At Las Vegas National, Chaparral's Briseida Mendez-Rodriguez shot 21-over 57 to take medalist honors in a three-team meet.

Desert Pines had a score of 292. Neither Chaparral nor Sunrise Mountain posted a team score.

Sierra Shaw added a 67 for the Cowboys.
