GOLF: Becker, Crusaders win Sunset League match

Julia Becker carded a 3-over-par 75 at Las Vegas Municipal on Monday to help Faith Lutheran’s girls golf team win a Division I-A Sunset League match.

The Crusaders, who also got an 86 from Bri Yee, had a team score of 349. Clark was second at 361, followed by Pahrump Valley at 405.

Clark’s Sabrina Ho shot 77. Cassandra Ho added an 81 for the Chargers, and teammate Grace Kang shot 85.

Panthers earn Northwest win

At Painted Desert, Morgan Zimmerman shot 20-over 92 to help Palo Verde win a Northwest League match.

The Panthers’ team score of 399 was 20 strokes better than second-place Shadow Ridge. Sierra Vista was third at 530.

Arbor View’s Betsy Branton was the medalist with an 89, one stroke ahead of Shadow Ridge’s Katie Thomas.

Khumnark, Gators take Northeast match

At Legacy, Mercedes Khumnark shot 6-over 78 to help Green Valley win a Northeast League match.

The Gators had a team score of 400. Rancho was second at 436, one stroke ahead of Silverado.

Rancho’s Aubrianna Jordan took second individually with an 86.

Gorman uses depth to win Southwest match

At Las Vegas National, Katie DeJesus and Megan Orgad each shot 12-over 83 to lead Bishop Gorman to the team title in a Southwest League match.

The Gaels shot 342 to beat second-place Desert Oasis by six strokes.

Cimarron-Memorial's Aspen Bryant was the match medalist with a 72. Desert Oasis' Allison Weiderman shot 74.
