GOLF: Cougars tied for fourth at midway point of Antigua National invite

Victoria Estrada shot a 3-over-par 75 on Friday to help Coronado's girls golf team grab a share of fourth place at the midway point of the 18-team Antigua National High School Invitational at McCormick Ranch Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Sami Penor added a 78 for the Cougars, who shot 317 on Friday. Punahou (Hawaii) leads after one round with a score of 303. Archbishop McCarthy (Fla.) and Xavier (Ariz.) are tied for second at 306. Coronado is tied with Torrey Pines (Calif.)

Faith Lutheran is sixth at 322, and Bishop Gorman is ninth at 333.

Faith Lutheran's Morgan Goldstein shot 74, and teammate Sydney Smith shot 78.

Hunter Pate led Gorman and was second overall Friday with a 72.

Punahou's Akio Leong is the individual leader after carding a 69.
