GOLF: DeJesus, Gorman win Southwest match

Katie DeJesus carded an 8-over-par 80 at Aliante on Tuesday to help Bishop Gorman’s girls golf team win a Southwest League match.

The Gaels had a team score of 333. Desert Oasis took second with 368, followed by Centennial with 417.

Cimarron-Memorial’s Aspen Bryant was the medalist with a 76.

Desert Oasis’ Allison Weiderman also shot 80.

Panthers claim Northwest victory

At Badlands, Alison Ryu shot 17-over 89 to help Palo Verde win a Northwest League match.

The Panthers’ team score of 400 was nine strokes better than Shadow Ridge. Arbor View was third at 465.

The Aggies’ Betsy Branton took medalist honors with an 83. Shadow Ridge’s Katie Thomas shot 85.

Greenwald, Cougars take Southeast match

At Stallion Mountain, Olivia Greenwald shot 2-under 34 to earn medalist honors and lead Coronado to victory in a nine-hole Southeast League match.

The Cougars had a team score of 158, 50 strokes better than Foothill. Liberty (275) was third, and Basic (276) took fourth.

Foothill’s Amy Ruelas shot 37, and Coronado’s Natalie Yamamoto had a 38.

Pirates capture Sunrise League match

At Falcon Ridge, Haley Neilson shot 93 to lead Moapa Valley to victory in a Sunrise League match.

The Pirates had a team score of 421, three strokes better than Tech. Boulder City was third at 428.

Mountain View’s Rachel Horita and Boulder City’s Jordyn Syler shared medalist honors with a 9-over 80.

Tech’s Meghan Chase shot 97.

Gators top Wildcats

At Legacy, Mercedes Khumnark shot par 36 for nine holes to lead Green Valley to a 199-262 win over Las Vegas.

Sarah DeMarco added a 46 for Green Valley.
