GOLF: DeJesus leads Gorman to Southwest win

Katie DeJesus shot 9-over-par 80 on Tuesday at Bear’s Best to help Bishop Gorman’s girls golf team win a Southwest League match.

The Gaels had a team score of 331. Desert Oasis took second at 378, followed by Bonanza at 479.

Cimarron-Memorial’s Aspen Bryant shot 80 to share medalist honors.

Bishop Gorman’s Megan Orgad shot 81, followed by the Desert Oasis’ Allison Weiderman at 82.

Becker, Crusaders take Sunset League match

At Palm Valley, Julia Becker shot 2-over 74 to lead Faith Lutheran to victory in a Sunset League match.

Faith Lutheran had a team score of 335. Clark was second with 352, followed by Pahrump Valley at 458 and Mojave at 532.

The Crusaders’ Sarah Paravia added an 80.

Clark got an 81 from Grace Kang and and 83 from Sabrina Ho.

Panthers edge Shadow Ridge

At Badlands, Alison Ryu shot 9-over 45 to lead Palo Verde to a 191-195 win over Shadow Ridge.

Nanxi Ren added a 48 for the Panthers.

Katie Thomas shot 45, and Bianca Rodriguez-Willrich carded a 46 for the Mustangs.
