GOLF: Gaels take Southwest League match at Spanish Trail

Sabrina Schnur shot an 11-over-par 83 at Spanish Trail on Tuesday to lead Bishop Gorman’s girls golf team to victory in a Southwest League match.

The Gaels had a team score of 350. Shadow Ridge was second at 373, followed by Palo Verde at 395.

The Mustangs’ Allison Weiderman was the medalist with a 75.

Durango’s Jasmin Marayonk shot 83, and teammate Yazmin Bengson added an 84.

Diamondbacks win Northwest League match

At Paiute, Ashley Malone carded a 15-over 87 to lead Desert Oasis to victory in a Northwest League match.

The Diamondbacks had a team score of 371, four strokes better than Centennial. Bonanza took third with 410.

Arbor View’s Betsy Branton was the medalist with an 85.

Cimarron-Memorial’s Rachel Larsen shot 86.

Coronado tops Faith Lutheran

At Revere, Natalie Yamamoto shot an even-par 36 to lead Coronado to a 154-172 win over Faith Lutheran.

Ashley Lung added a 37 for the Cougars.

Sydney Smith shot 35, and Julia Becker carded a 37 for Faith Lutheran.
