GOLF: Greenwald, Cougars shine at Southeast League match

Olivia Greenwald shot a 3-over-par 75 at Black Mountain on Wednesday to take medalist honors and help Coronado’s girls golf team win a Southeast League match.

The Cougars shot 330, followed by Foothill (408) and Basic (490).

Coronado’s Natalie Yamamoto carded an 80 to finish second, and teammates Isabella Martinez (86) and Ashley Lung (89) were fourth and fifth, respectively.

Foothill’s Amy Ruelas shot 83 to take third.

Roadrunners win Sunrise League match

Meghan Chase carded a 26-over 98 at The Canyons to help Tech capture a Sunrise League match.

The Roadrunners had a team score of 425. Boulder City took second at 435, followed by Sunrise Mountain at 528.

Boulder City’s Jordyn Syler was the medalist with an 89. Mountain View’s Rachel Horita was second with a 92, three strokes better than Moapa Valley’s Josie Delgadillo.
