GOLF: Khumnark’s ace highlights Northeast League match

Mercedes Khumnark recorded a hole-in-one on the 12th hole at Las Vegas Municipal on Thursday on her way to medalist honors as Green Valley’s girls golf team won a Northeast League match.

Khumnark shot 1-under-par 71 to help the Gators to a team score of 369. Silverado was second at 441, five strokes better than Rancho.

Sara DeMarco added a 91, and Haley Merrill shot 94 for Green Valley. Aubrianna Jordan had a 94 for Rancho.

Crusaders edge Gorman
At Bear's Best, Julia Becker shot 2-over 37 to lead Faith Lutheran to a 168-173 win over Bishop Gorman.

Sarah Paravia and Serena Kasama each added a 43 for the Crusaders.

Katie DeJesus shot 42 for the Gaels, and teammates Jennifer Le and Megan Orgad each added a 43.
