GOLF: Moore, Gaels win Southwest League match

Kyra Moore carded a 7-over-par 79 at Painted Desert on Thursday to help Bishop Gorman’s girls golf team win a Southwest League match.

The Gaels had a team score of 334. Shadow Ridge took second with a 383, followed by Palo Verde at 427.

Shadow Ridge’s Allison Weiderman was second individually with an 81, one stroke better than Gorman’s Sarah James.

Chargers win Sunset League meet

At Angel Park, Sabrina Ho carded a 3-over 74 to lead Clark to victory in a Sunset League match.

The Chargers’ team score of 336 was nine strokes better than Faith Lutheran. Pahrump Valley was third at 447.

Faith Lutheran’s Julia Becker was the medalist with a 70.

Clark’s Cassandra Ho shot 77.
