GOLF: Spartans’ Larsen takes medalist honors in Northwest League match
Cimarron-Memorial's Rachel Larsen shot a 9-over-par 81 at Canyon Gate on Tuesday to take medalist honors in a Northwest League match.
Nicole August shot an 82 for Centennial, which won the match with a team score of 356. Arbor View was second at 414, and Desert Oasis was third at 470.
Desert Oasis' Ashley Malone also shot 82.
Bonanza's Rebecca Oertel carded an 83.
Coronado breezes to Southeast win
At Legacy, Sami Penor shot a 1-over 73 to lead Coronado to victory in a Southeast League match.
The Cougars had a team score of 317. Foothill was second with 422, one stroke better than Green Valley.
Rancho's Aubrianna Jordan shot 80.
Coronado's Gabby DeNunzio and Olivia Yamamoto each shot 81, and teammate Victoria Estrada added an 82.
Eagles' Potter wins Sunrise match
At Tuscany, Lani Potter carded a 4-over 76 to earn medalist honors in a Sunrise League match.
Moapa Valley's Josie Delgadillo was second with an 88.
No team had four golfers complete the round.
