Incline’s Wright wins third straight state golf title

Incline's Katelyn Wright carded an 80 at Genoa Golf Resort on Tuesday to waltz to the Class 2A state golf title, her third straight NIAA individual crown.

Wright finished with a 36-hole total of 154, 28 strokes better than second-place Kristen Daniels of North Tahoe (Calif.).

Wright won the Class 3A individual title each of the last two years. This is the first year for the 2A state tournament.

Battle Mountain won the team title with a total of 853. Incline took second at 876.
