Roundup: Centennial edges Palo Verde at TPC Las Vegas

McKenzi Hall shot a 3-over-par 74 Tuesday to earn medalist honors and lead Centennial’s girls golf team to victory in a Northwest League match at TPC Las Vegas.

The Bulldogs shot 339 as a team, just ahead of Palo Verde’s 353. Arbor View came in third with 408.

Faith Lutheran’s Sydney Smith and Centennial’s Hailey Stevenson tied for second by carding a 75. Palo Verde’s Annick Haczkiewicz was fourth with a 78, and Cimarron-Memorial’s Katelyn Smith was fifth at 80.

Pahrump Valley wins big at Desert Pines

At Desert Pines Golf Course, Pahrump Valley’s Makalea Petrie earned medalist honors with a 15-over-par 86 to lead the Trojans to victory in a Sunset League match victory with a team score of 404.

Desert Pines was second at 444, and Mojave finished third with a 540.

Western’s Carolyn Lemon took second at 90, and was followed by Pahrump’s Breanne Nygaard (98), Desert Pines’ Carolina Rodriguez (102) and Pahrump’s Jessica Pearson (104).
