Roundup: Logan Allen helps Gorman to Southwest win

Logan Allen carded a 5-over-par 77 at Highland Falls on Wednesday to lead Bishop Gorman’s girls golf team to victory in a Southwest League match.

The Gaels, who placed all six of their golfers among the top 11 finishers, shot 322 as a team. Clark was second with a 338. Sierra Vista was third with a 377, and Silverado was fourth with a 482.

Clark’s Riana Mission shot 72 to earn medalist honors.

Sierra Vista’s Aliyah Williams was the runner-up with a 75. Durango’s Bella Gopwani was fourth with a 79.

Wildcats’ Amezquita wins Northeast match

At Stallion Mountain, Las Vegas High’s Delina Amezquita shot a 25-over 97 and was the lone player to make the 9-hole cut in a Northeast League match.

No team scores were kept as no school started the match with at least four players.
